chapter 5

Finny's leg has been shattered from the fall out of the tree. I can't believe I ushed Finny out of the tree and caused this. I never meant for this to happen, I would have never done this if I had known what would have happened. Dr. Stanpole told me that Finny's leg will recover enough for him to walk again, but he will never be able to play sports again. This brings tears to my eyes. Finny tells the doctors that he wants to see me, I am sure he wants to put all the guilt on me for putting him in such a horrible position. When I go into the room to talk to Finny about the incident he didn't know what really happened. He wasn't sure what caused him to lose his balcance and fall. I told him that I tried to save him from the fall, but couldn't. I then put myself in Finny's position and thought to myslef that i would want to know what really happened. Just as I was about to do this Dr. Stanpole came in and told me it was time for me to go.
